Highbury & Islington station forecourt

Now that the old post office building has been demolished, we can start reconstructing the bridge beneath the station forecourt.

From 11 September until mid-December 2015, the hoardings will extend up to The Famous Cock Tavern, blocking the thoroughfare to Upper Street. Pedestrians will be diverted left around the hoardings.

The station entrance (on the southern, gyratory side) will be closed during this time so the station exit (on the northern, Archway side) will function both as an entrance and exit. The forecourt is likely to be more crowded than usual, especially during peak times.

The station and The Famous Cock Tavern will stay open as normal.
