Hi Matt

GP registration has been the subject of previous discussions on the forum (see here).

Personally our family has always had good experiences with the Bounds Green Group Practice, in Gordon Road. However as a Group Practice you might not always see the same GP -which may be an issue for managing a long-term condition?

Hi Matt, my family have been with Bounds Green Health Centre in Gordon Road for over 25 years and find them to be very good.  I agree with Richard regarding seeing different GPs, but I still believe they are one of the best, especially Dr Schamroth.

I can recommend the surgery at Natal Road, Bounds Green. It is a branch of Grovelands Medical Centre in Palmers Green; http://www.gpdoctor.co.uk/

I find getting an appointment pretty good, usually same day or next day and if they can't get you an emergency appt at Natal, they can usually get one for you in Palmers Green which is not far. I managed to get a last minute appt within 2 hours on Christmas Eve at Grovelands.

They are very helpful and OK. When I hear about my sister's rubbish experience with the unfriendly Doctor's surgeries round West Hampstead, I realise how this lot are efficient and accommodating.

I'd also recommend Bounds Green Group Practice. I first used them when I lived in the area 7 years ago, and signed up again when I moved back last year. They are a big practice, so you can usually get an appointment at a time that'll suit you. The doctors have always been really good, and the practice is much better than the other practices I've been registered with in between.

They are a university teaching practice, so sometimes they'll ask if their students can sit on appointments, but you can always say no if you aren't happy with this.
