A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
Dear Neighbours
Is anyone planning to refurbish their home - extend, renovate, replace windows.. or just fix rattling windows and ill-fitting doors? If so there's a free 'green your home' event coming up in Alexandra Park which can help you save energy and money.
Running over the weekend of 21st-22nd March, it's third annual '21st Century Homes' event organised by the Muswell Hill Sustainability Group, a voluntary organisation based just up the road from Bowes Park.
Talks and exhibition, Saturday 21st March, 12.30-5pm, Alexandra Park School
On Saturday 21st March there will be talks and an exhibition at Alexandra Park School (Rhodes Avenue entrance, off Albert Road). Hear from experts in insulation, draughtproofing (including low-cost DIY methods), energy-efficient heating and renewable energy. New this year are ten-minute 1-2-1 free advice sessions with both professionals and householders who've carried out major ecorefurbishments.
Refreshments including homemade cakes available.
House tours, Sunday 22nd March (book online)
On Sunday 22nd March there are visits to local energy-efficient homes - meet local householders and find out how they've made their homes warmer and cheaper to run, while maintaining style and comfort!
Do come along and find out more! Free booking for both days is at www.mhsgroup.org/21st-century-homes
Hope to see you there,
Mary Blake
