I spotted a poster at the garden centre for Haringey in Bloom. This year the categories are:

I had hope there would be a back garden/pot garden/gardening against the odds category as my Pete has transformed my barren patio yard into a blooming oasis this year and I'm very proud!

I might nominate some of my neighbours for the Front Garden category - there are a couple of wonderful ones on Lascotts. Unfortunately, I'm loathe to do anything with my front bit, for fear of stuff getting nicked. Plus the 6 bins and 3 gas meters don't leave much room!

Would people like to get involved in a Bowes & Bounds in Bloom local effort this year? Or a local 'open gardens' afternoon?

Just bumping this up the forum - deadline for nominations approaching, 12 July!

Hi Lindsey

Only just seen your post (duh)...have been thinking along the same lines...

Not sure I have much time to do anything at the moment as much going on but...failing managing to do something this year, would be interested in exploring pulling together a more concerted effort for next year...?
