On Sunday 16th November 2014 the Mayor of Haringey will be joined by local residents, leaders and dignitaries on a sponsored walk to raise funds for Haringey’s Citizen Advice Bureaux (CAB) and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

 The walk will start at Alexandra Palace at 2pm, with registration from 1pm, finishing at Bruce Castle at 4pm. Registration is £10.

Haringey Citizens Advice Bureaux relies on the support of local people to ensure that it can help the thousands of people in Haringey who need the service each year. The Bureaux supports people with the problems they face, while campaigning to improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives.

The adoption of Haringey Citizens Advice Bureaux as the Mayor of Haringey’s principal charity for 2014/15 is a huge boost for us. We need the support, and all donations will help us to continue to assist and advise people in Haringey who find themselves in difficult circumstances. Problems and hardship can happen to anyone at any time. We are here to help, so thank you to everyone who has supported us so far.

With a CAB in the community local people have somewhere to turn when they need help – four in ten people have used a CAB at some point in their lives. Right now, the demand for CAB services is greater than ever.

Any donation, no matter how small, is gratefully received and will help to support the provision of free advice to the people of Haringey and to train and develop volunteers.
