Hi everyone, I have a large goldfish... of the type known as 'ordinary' or 'common' goldfish (see picture). She (I call her 'she' but who knows?) is about 5 years old and this type of goldfish can live to 20+.

I've got her in a tank with 2 smaller comet goldfish... and I really think at her size she needs a pond!

She is about 14 cm long.

I don't want to get a bigger tank... I've already done that once and she just grew bigger (the so-called 'myth' that goldfish grow to fit their surroundings is not a myth at all).

I think this would be the perfect time of year to re-home her into a pond, while weather is still warm so she can acclimatise.

I am disabled and unable to bring the fish to you... but I live just off Station Rd in Wood Green & there is parking.

If some kind fish-loving person with a pond would like to give poor Hilda the home she deserves, please let me know.

Thank you.

We have a lovely pond and would be happy to give Hilda a new home. We can come and collect her, but she might have to get on a bus!

Hi Nora, thank you so much!

I have sent you a 'connection request'... if you can confirm it I can then private message you my phone number.

Many thanks... I'll tell Hilda to start packing her bags...

Pat :)
