Today's episode of Homes Under The Hammer on BBC One features a house purchased on Eleanor Road N11! It was purchased for £311,000 and required full renovation, rather than turn it into a beautiful family home, it will now be yet another bedsit! As someone who lives sandwiched between a bedsit and a dubious flat conversion (whose tenants care little for the neighbourhood), I am getting a little annoyed that people find it so easy to gain permission for bedsits from the councils... Or do they? I want both councils to start taking planning permission more seriously as it is becoming detrimental to our wonderful neighbourhood!

I agree it could have made a lovely small family home ... at least they didn't convert it into two flats! A future owner could easily turn it back into a family home.

The programme, including a scene shot inside The Step, is available to view again on the BBCiPlayer for the next 7 days (Fast forward to 14:00 for the Bowes Park bit).
