Hello all
I hope it's ok to post this ....
I have a little sausage dog named Monty. And a year or so ago I was very lucky to have posted an SOS out to anyone that may be interested in looking after my little man when I was unable to, we found a wonderful lady who offered and her and wonderful gang of pugs became quite the cool hang out for little Monty, however she has now fled the city with the pugs and headed to the countryside (much to my begging her to stay:)). So I find myself in a similar bind to the one I was in originally and was just wondering if anyone would be interested.........
He is a miniature datschund and a rather handsome fellow (I'm bias) he is 1 and half years old and basically loves hugs and love, he's really chilled out and sleeps a lot especially if he is in the arms of someone.
Anyway, I am running my own business from home and am generally here all the time with him at the moment, however, occasionally I will be looking for someone to look after Monty (at their humble abode) on an odd day when I go for meetings and I know I can't get back to see him. But more importantly I am looking for someone who may be interested in having Monty over night with them on an occasional basis, as I am required to attend things further afield or functions that run into the small hours.
We would be looking for someone who is easy going and flexible, he is quite happy socialising with other good natured dogs and cats.... I really cannot afford huge amounts so I would be looking for someone who is willing to offer very reasonable rates for their service but may enjoy the company of little Monty enough to not charge me an arm and a leg. Someone local and in the area would be fab, but any recommendations or help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance for any help!
Gemma (& Monty)
Hello Gemma,
I'm happy to meet up, as I myself would also be keen to have someone trusted to leave my little bichion/maltese with on very odd occasions. I too work from home but sometimes I leave Oddie toots to attend all day meetings and if little Monty gets on well with little cute Oddie, this could be a good solution to help us both, you look after Oddie when im away and I take Monty when your away.
Only days I'm out of the house all day are Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have a friend who walks Oddie on those days, every other time, I'm in the house and take him out for long park runs. Happy to look after Monty for overnight stays too.
Please give me a call and we can meet up to discuss further. Suellen 07809131963, Marlborough Road, Bowes Park.
Thank you Suellen!
So sorry for this rather delayed response, it's turning out to be a very busy couple of weeks :).
Anyway thank you so much for your response , I will be sure to get in touch via telephone when things calm a little, as I'm sure it would be fabulous to meet you both! You are quiet close by too so that's always good too, I'm sure little Oddie and Monty will get on very well.
thanks again for responding so quickly, very lovely of you , speak very soon. Gemma & Monty :))
I realise that you have already had an offer of help from Suellen but I also wanted to extend an offer of free help.
My fiancée, Dave, and I would dearly love a dog of our own but as we work full-time we just don't think this would be fair. However we are around in the evenings and weekends and would really love to have Monty to stay overnight and anytime at weekends. We live on Beech Road and we don't have other pets so no-one to compete for cuddles!
Dave has had dogs in his family all his life so Monty would be in very safe hands. We love going for walks in Broomfield Park and Ally Pally so Monty would be a welcome addition. We have a car so his little legs wouldn't need to walk all the way up that big hill to Ally Pally!
So, on the off-chance that Monty and Suellen's dog don't hit it off or if ever Suellen is not available then we'd LOVE to help!!!
Give us me a call on 07900685405 if you want to chat or arrange to meet up.
Lauren
PS You may think I'm making this up but if I could have any dog it would be a sausage dog - our doormat even has a picture of a daschund which does tend to confuse visitors when they come in and can't find a doggie to match!!
Lauren!!! Thank you so much for your wonderful message- what a wonderful thing it was to read, and I can only apologise for my rather rudely late response! As I mentioned to Suellen , its been an unexpectedly busy couple of weeks.
Anyway, the more the merrier, I say, you guys sound fabulous and totally up Monty's street :) so please bare with me as I get this busy period out of the way and get in touch, for a meet up. Thank you so much for getting in touch, My partner and I both read your very lovely message and it had it smiling so much , its so lovely to know there's people around who would be interested in having little Monty for us and I can imagine he's over the moon about it, generally love and attention from anyone is welcome. So we are looking forward to meeting you & your husband very soon. I will be in touch.
With best wishes & thanks , Gemma ..... & Monty :)
