Enfield Councillor Bambos Charalambous, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture,  is pledging to spend a short time living on £1 a day to mirror those in the poorest countries around the world.

He will be doing this to highlight the fact that over 1.4 billion people live on less than we would pay for a cup of coffe. As wellas raising the profile of issues around global Poverty Cllr Charalambos will also raise money for a charity called Positive Women, which helps supports orphaned and vulnerable children in parts of rural Southern Africa.
