In a recent discussion about local film locations - it was pointed out that David Baddiels "The Infidel" was in part filmed in Bowes Park.

Now The Infidel has been made into a stage musical and it's currently playing to full houses at the Theatre Royal Stratford East.

And there's another local connection "The Infidel, the Musical" features Bowes Park's very own Melanie Masson (left) Melanie was an X-Factor finalist in 2012 - mentored by Gary Barlow ...  and will be fondly remembered by many locals as the former Fairy Flutterby!.

Lots of neighbours will have heard Melanie sing at local events and festivals and of course at the Myddleton Road Christmas Lights last year (see video below). The turning on of the Christmas Lights and songs will be happening again on November 30th - do come along.
