A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
A smart piece of investigative reporting from Londonist has generated a bit of interest over the last week.
A Freedom if Information request to the Metropolitan Police identified the locations of the capital's speed cameras and the total amounts of fines generated by each. The camera which snapped the largest number of speeders is on the westbound side of the A1203 Limehouse Link in east London was responsible for a remarkable 17,110 tickets.
One local camera, on the on the eastbound carriageway of Bounds Green Road (nominally a 30mph route), caught 2,779 motorists exceeding the limit.
