Went to Olympus recently, still doing HUGE portions and a deal was on for cod and chips together for £5, with a goodly sized piece of fish. Very highly recommended

What dreadful news!!  We have enjoyed Seafresh's fish and chips for many years and are distraught to see them go. Such a lovely couple, brilliant food and reasonable prices.  We will miss them and wish them all the best for the future. By the way, the photo at the top of this page is not Seafresh but the only other good chippy in the area which closed some time ago.

SEAFRESH RETURNS! sort of ...

The old Seafresh Fish and Chip shop on Green Lanes re-opened last week, under new management. They promise fish fresh everyday, and have incorporated a couple of tables and chairs inside the shopfront. Alongside Fish and Chips they are offering kebabs and burgers.

Has anyone been in - How do they compare with the long lamented Seafresh Chippy of old?

Not tasted it yet but spotted that they had reopened. Fingers crossed it's decent. I like that they've kept the old sign.

I had Haddock and Chips on Tuesday. Paul the Chippy (alogside Azim head Kebab man) fried me up a fresh Haddock. Crisp big portion for a extremely competitive  £6.

Chips are the proper freshly cut  not quite as good Vsakis but then they are probably the best chips in London and lots of time to perfect and improve.

I implore you to give this new business a try a well needed addition to our local area.

We loved Seafresh before it changed ownership, unfortunately on a first tasting we were disappointed - we ordered two potions of fish and chips, one was hake and one cod, both very soggy and not at all crispy, the chips were of decent quality but again just very greasy and soggy, the gherkin was also not very good. We will give it another go, and hope they can sort it out.

We use Olympus on Green Lanes. Fish and chips always good, in very generous portions.
