As we reach the end of a breathless 2012 we wanted to wish a hearty and warm Merry Christmas to all the lovely people we’ve met at The Step this year.

It’s been a wonderful ten months but we know we can do more – so we are expanding The Step and investing further in Myddleton Road.

New kitchen
We are building a larger kitchen, developing our menus and introducing a wider range of freshly cooked food – starting with delicious brunches. We’ll then be moving on to increasing our evening meals and launching guest chef supper clubs!

Up we go
We will also unveil a beautiful events space upstairs with a creative and artistic programme for 2013. There is a hugely creative local community and we want The Step to become a vibrant arts and music hub in the middle of Bowes Park. The space will also be available for private hire.

It’s all unfeasibly exciting but we can’t continue to do everything so from the New Year we are changing our opening times to focus on evenings and weekends with over 18s only after 6pm.

Our new opening times are:
Tuesday to Thursday, 6pm to 11.30pm
Friday to Sunday, 10am to 11.30pm (12.30am on event nights)

Children's workshops
Sadly that means that we are no longer able to host Songs For Little People, Three Potato Four Art & Crafts and The Story Hat – Richard, Sandy and Zoe have all been amazing and we are so thankful for their support and brilliant kiddy classes. Do get in touch with them to join their mailing lists so they can keep you updated on their future workshops.
 
So that’s it from us – a new year and a new Step awaits – we look forward to welcoming you in 2013. We are closed from 24th to 30th December and on 1st January, but don’t forget our Christmas Carol sing-a-long this Sunday and our New Year’s Eve Party Party (there's only a couple of tickets left!).
