Hi, I have just started a course at Birkbeck training to be a child psychotherapist, and mother-infant observation is a key part of the Year One studies. Its purpose is to learn about child development as it unfolds in very early life.

So... I am looking for a mother and new baby to observe. If you know anyone (who knows anyone who knows anyone) who is soon to give birth and might be willing to participate, please get in touch.

This would involve weekly, hour-long observations in the family home. It is an entirely voluntary commitment for parents, with confidentiality promised.

I’m happy to have a chat with anyone who might like to find out more, with no obligation for follow-on participation. I can be contacted via this forum or by e-mail: katemgraham@yahoo.co.uk

Any interest would be much appreciated – and many thanks for reading!.
