Its now re-opened and well worth a visit, it looks and tastes fab!
It looked much better when I walked past after work last night. You can see in its marvellous windows now. Looking forward to visiting.
I'm really impressed with the new style Mum's Bistro - loved it before but even more now. I think
we're really lucky to have such a sylish, good value, excellent food place in our area. I hope people support it and experience it. x
It looks so much better inside. There is a new menu, they've ditched the fussy menu books and everything is on a blackboard with drinks listed cunningly on the wine bottles on each table. There will be new wines added and draft beers - they are ordering the new things this week and will have a proper opening once these things arrive. I also recommend the friday / saturday Greek meze and charcoal grilled meats buffet. Very tender meat in spite of being on a warmer plate. Good selection starters, and homemade apple tart to finish. Also the old staff have 'gone', so the service is so much better......we had a very keen young man serve us. The inside is also much better - a lot lighter and warmer with the old tacky decor gone.................... No TV - hurrah!....... and music that my friends enjoyed. In all, very good value, and the old clients that used to drink there have more or less gone, so much nicer.
