ABOUT
Myddleton Road Market is a new street market in the Bowes Park area of N22, which took place three times in 2013, on a trial basis, as part of a wider effort to regenerate Myddleton Road. Each time we had up to 25 stalls on the street and in the Myddleton Road Community Garden, selling a range of products with an emphasis on supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs.

We proved that the market would be a popular new feature in the local neighbourhood with an estimated 1,000 people turning up each time. With the help of funding from Haringey Council, we have established the market not only as a brand but as an important new community asset that local residents overwhelmingly support.

We have always gone above and beyond to promote each market: 3000 door dropped leaflets, posters in Bowes Park and nearby neighbourhoods, vinyl banners outside tube and rail stations and on the high street. We have 464 Twitter followers, 351 Facebook likes. The previous markets have been visited by the Mayor of Haringey, the Leader of the Council and Lynne Featherstone MP. We’ve been interviewed live on BBC London and have had various pieces of local press coverage.

Now that it has been successfully established, the market will continue on a quarterly basis, running every 3 months. We are seeking sponsorship so that it no longer relies on council funding and can become a self-sufficient community enterprise.
By sponsoring the markets for a year or more, this is a fantastic opportunity for your business to raise it’s profile in this very up and coming part of North London.
