Why an On Line petition for Skate park funding?: Train with the Londonskaters speed team

Why was an online petition was created on 5th November 2015?

Why the need for the "Funding for New Skate park in Winchmore Hill"

The text of the petition is as follows:

We the undersigned petition the Council to build/fund a new skate park in the Palmers Green/Winchmore Hill area, there isn't a good skate park in Enfield and we think it is time for one. There are very few skaters in Enfield as a result of this.

Me and many of my friends that live in Enfield constantly have to travel to Barnet or Haringey to go to a half decent skate park, seeing as Enfield has no good skate parks, please grant some funding to build one.

Serious Skaters will be aware  that the Londonskaters Speed team already undertake year round weekly training in LBEnfield and hold National events by regularly using the existing facilities at Tatem Park:

Outside of periods booked for training sessions, use of the track at Tatem Park is FREE

Public Transport: Bus Route W6 (a London Buses hail and ride route from Southgate LUL and Edmonton Green) stops outside the Gates of Tatem Park. for w6 timetable CLICK HERE

In Line skating Championships were recently held at Lea Valley Park
