News this week (via Palmers Green Jewel in the North blog) that the Southgate and Palmers Green Open Studios and Art Trail have added a last minute extra venue - they will be operating a pop-up gallery space in the former Blockbusters Video store. The recently vacated shop forms part of the Southgate Station complex; designed by Charles Holden and opened 80 years ago this is our favourite tube station!

It's great to see empty shops used for creative purposes - and terrific that Holden's celebrated architecture is being put to good use showcasing some local creative talent.

The art Trail - including several workshop sessions takes place on Saturday and Sunday - a full programme is available from the project website
