What is happening?

The next part of the bridge strengthening work which first took place on 5/6 January (see photos below) is taking place this weekend. There is no Piccadilly line service between Hammersmith and Ealing Common and between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge and no District line service between West Kensington and Acton Town/Richmond 

What travel options are available?

To travel to Heathrow Airport: Take the Piccadilly line to Holborn and then the Central line to Ealing Broadway. Change there for the District line to Acton Town to re-connect with the Piccadilly line. This journey is step-free between Ealing Broadway and Heathrow Airport.  

Two replacement buses are running for local journeys only. (NB:These routes are not recommended if you are travelling with luggage between central London and Heathrow)

Service A: Richmond - Kew Gardens - Gunnersbury - Chiswick Park - Turnham Green - Stamford Brook - Ravenscourt Park - Hammersmith

Service B: Acton Town - Gunnersbury - Chiswick Park - Turnham Green - Stamford Brook - Ravenscourt Park - Hammersmith

Advance notice: On 9/10 February journeys to/from Heathrow will be affected when the Piccadilly line is closed between Hammersmith and Northfields/Uxbridge. Replacement bus will operate.
