I have just received a letter from Haringey  Planning service re an application (HGY/2014/3201) to develop the rear of the above address. It appears that this application has been approved, but that the developer has submitted a further application (HGY/2016/2086) as an amendment to  to planning permission HGY/2014/3201 to provide a larger two storey element, providing an additional two bedroom flat (above the approved conversion of the ground floor offices and garages in the rear part of 12B Thorold Road for conversion and extension of rear offices to form 3 x one bedroom flats).

This is not the first attempt to get planning approval for this development, which had previously been refused. I do not understand  why it has been approved now. The objections to this development have been clearly stated by various local residents!

I urge all residents to submit objects to this project as soon as possible (by the 29th July)  on the Haringey Planning website!

I will be objecting to this planning application and like the previous poster  would urge other local residents to do the same.  This site is unsuitable for the proposed two storey development.  There have been numerous previous (unsuccessful) applications for larger developments at this site.  The granted application was for 3 small ground floor flats; the developer is now seeking permission to extend to two storeys.   It's important that local residents make it clear to Haringey that there is ongoing opposition to further development at this site.

The deadline given for comments on the notice displayed on Thorold Road (dated 4/7/16) is 21 days - so any comments need to be made by 25/7/16
