A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
Although there is much good news about the redevelopment of Myddleton Road businesses - with a new gym and music shop - the ongoing scrutiny of planning applications in the vicinity is an important task. In the current housing and development climate some developers think that they can get away with cramming poor quality, tiny housing units into the small spaces between existing buildings.
A new planning application has been made for the land to the rear of 58-60 Myddleton Road - adjacent to the outdoor Community Gym alongside the new River. The proposal is to build a new three-storey, three bedroom house in the back garden of the existing properties.
It is a remarkable proposal to turn the back gardens of two properties into a huge three storey house. A formal opposition to the plans will be produced by the Bowes Park Community Association and individual comments on the application can be submitted on the Haringey website

Much as I am all for building housing in London to meet the demand - at the same time I can see in this area where developers are squeezing in units in every space - even if the quality of life is for the residents/tenants won't be great.
wow, objection made.
A shame actually as I thought the building design had a bit of merit to it....just unfortunate they happened to want to put it smack bang in the middle of a perfectly good back garden!
Object!
