Planning Committee to decide North Circular Road Applications - 23rd April 7.30pm at Enfield Council
Enfield's planning committee will meet on Tuesday the 23rd of April 2013 at 7.30pm in the Council Chamber at Enfield Council to discuss two applications affecting residents in and around the Bowes Ward and Southgate Green. These are major proposals which will change the face of the area for good.

News from the planning committee held earlier this week - the proposals for these flats have been approved by LB Enfield - although with much opposition.

If councillors routinely refuse to reject any application by large developers because they are not prepared to run the risk of an appeal, then we might as well dispense with the planning committee. Cllrs are paid and elected to debate and assess every individual application on its merits but it seems they are only prepared to do this when it comes to individual residents because they know, individual homeowners don't have the resources to pursue an appeal. Frankly, they should be ashamed of themselves for pursuing this sort of policy.
