Can anyone recommend a decent plasterer?  My previous wonderful bloke has retired; I need new walls & ceiling in a small bathroom & separate loo.

Thanks, all

I called Merton to quote me to plaster my celling and he said he paints too. Whilst he's a super chap  I am afraid to say he did a terrible job, he only put on one coat of paint which means its very patchy and he got paint all over a brand new window frame.

He was supposed to come back and put on a second coat but didn't show up.

Since then I have had further quotes for the ceiling and I now realise he was going to simply paster over some big cracks which isn't the way to go.

He could probably do a simple job but anything complicated or detailed is not his forte.

Apologies for leaving such a comment but I feel people should know.

I would highly recommend local plasterer Kevin, who did an amazing job for me last year.

Details from the tradesmen site on B & Bounds are:

Kevin is a local plasterer, based on Truro Road. He has done a few jobs for us and we are very happy with the work done. He is reliable, punctual and his rates are reasonable. 07791591475.

thank you Suelllen, I have contacted Kevin now and  hopefully he will plaster my ceiling in the new year

Great news Joyce

I'll certainly book Kevin again to plaster the lounge and hallway next year. Great chap, high standards and very reasonable costs. My bedroom looks amazing and he also did all the paintwork afterwards.

Hi everyone

I'd like to put in a good word for Kevin as well. I found his details on this website and he's just done a lovely job of plastering our hallway. It looks so much better now! His rates are very reasonable too.
