Haringey police, in partnership with Haringey Council, have re-introduced a dispersal order covering part of the N22 area of Haringey, in response to community concern about anti-social and threatening behaviour by groups of youths.

The order, covers part of Bounds Green and Woodside wards, including a section of High Road N22 and surrounding streets around Glendale Avenue, Commerce Road N22 and St Thomas More School.

The order is to help local police deal with nuisance behaviour that has been occuring by youths who are believed to have gang links and are not pupils at the educational establishments within the area covered by the dispersal order (St Thomas More and The Octagon).

The full story can be found on the Haringey section of the Metropolitan Police Website and  people are urged to pass on information about anti-social behaviour to our local Safer Neighbourhoods Team - even anonymously.

bit like CCTV this, doesnt solve the problems, just highlights that there is a problem

also, doesnt policing the streets also involve an element of walking? as nearly everytime i am out of the house, be it for leisure or cycling to work, i rarely see an officer or officers on patrol, these days policing means sitting in a minibus watching youtube on the police issue iphones, then scramble scramble another person has been murdered, please go and investigate! and then draw up police "powers" that dont hold any water, money well spent!
