Police in Haringey continue to warn residents to make sure they use their security to stop a burglar.

Police have been carrying out additional patrols to tackle a seasonal increase in burglary over the Autumn and Winter months, while the evenings get dark before people return home.

Police on patrol in the Harringay Ladder on Tuesday 6 November, at about 5pm saw a man climbing in through an unsecured ground floor window in Warham Road N4. The officers ordered the man out and he was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He remains in police custody and enquiries continue.

Also on Tuesday 6 November, at about 10.30am, police were called to a burglar alarm activation in Rhys Avenue N11. Police attended and found that a rear window had been forced open and electrical property taken. With the assistance of the police helicopter and dog unit, officers on the ground located and arrested three men on suspicion of burglary.
