Proud Performers: Bowes School children appear in video with JLS and British Olympic medal winners.

The music video for JLS’s official Sport Relief single, Proud, has been revealed today - and it features excellent performances from children at Bowes school.

The video cuts footage of pop band JLS at Wembley Stadium in with local scenes from Bowes School (and Costcutter on Warwick Road!).

Three British Olympic medal winners also appear in the video; swimmer and double gold medal winner Rebecca Adlington, triple jumper and silver medal;winner Phillips Idowu and gymnast and bronze medal winner Louis Smith.

It's a very powerful video linking the London summer Olympics with the Sport Relief weekend next month - our local young performers should feel proud of their part in supporting the fundraising.

Proud by JLS will be available to download on 18th March and in stores from 19th March. Money raised from the single and Sport Relief will help some of the most vulnerable people in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.

The single Proud can be pre-ordered now on iTunes: www.itunes.apple.com. At least 42p for each download on iTunes will go to Sport Relief and at least £1 from the sale of each CD will go to Sport Relief.

Even though I am not a fan of JLS either I was so very proud (!) to see my daughter in the video!

And our local costcutter too! :)

I was rather hoping it would be a cover of the much better Heather Smalls song but still, it is an excellent video - the children are totally brilliant!
