Resume:NRs Kings Cross possession over-runs by 24 hours

If you know anyone who was either caught up in the chaos at Kings Cross/Finsbury Parkafter the football match at the Emirates on the evening of 13th December or in the chaos on the day after Boxing Day...read on.

Finsbury Park has split responsibility between Govia Thameslink Railway <GTR>and London Underground.

On 13th December trains via Hertford North were cancelled because of a lack of drivers. Many years after the end of steam haulage, drivers belonging to the union ASLEF from Kings Cross only "volunteer" to work at weekends  and are not rota/rostered. Despite what you may be told this is not a <GTR> issue but was also true for the previous operators West Anglia Great Northern, National Express and First Capital Connect.

Passengers who have not already claimed for their train delay should do so now, see information or print and use the form

As for the Chaos at KINGS CROSS, read the article by Nigel Harris that is being published in Rail Magazine 765:(to print use the MSWord file below)

Rail Magazine also contains a double page spread for which you will need a printer able to handle A3 size paper

Mark Carne NR Chief Executive may want to have been in denial and put his head down under the bed clothes in his holiday cottage but .........as Nigel Harris makes clear the Chaos  at Kings Cross and Paddington strangely follows the experiences at Rugby and Liverpool Street in 2007-2008......no matter how many times they get it wrong, have NR executives no corporate learning?

Rail Magazine 765 will be available from the usual newsagents shortly and is a good read
