Revised Planning Application for Sainsbury Development Hornsey Depot - resubmit objections

 Hi,

Just to let you know that a new and slightly revised Planning application HGY/2014/1625 - Sainsbury development Hornsey - has been submitted

http://www.planningservices.haringey.gov.uk/portal/servlets/Applica...

Please note that this is a slightly revised, new application by Sainsbury due to a planned Judicial Review by some concerned Hornsey residents.

A summary of the differences to this application from a local is

The only difference between the latest scheme for the depot and the approved one is a minor reduction(6) in the number of one and two-bedroom flats, with a corresponding increase in the number of three-bedroom flats.  This only applies to the affordable housing - the private housing remains as before, as does the supermarket and car park.  There are no changes to the size of buildings, or their external appearance.  At the public meeting it was made clear that the application has been submitted because of the judicial challenge to the approved scheme.   The new application will not go to committee until September.  However, objectors need to make new objections - the previous ones will not be carried forward.  Although Mr Kelly (Assistant Director for Planning, Haringey Council) did say that you could send the previous objection in again, together with a covering note.  If possible new objections should be lodged by the end of July

Original application HGY/2013/2019 generated 106 responses, many objecting. Despite this the Planning Committee passed it.

So far there are only a handful of responses to the new application with time tight for lodging responses to the new application.

If you object to this new application please get your response in to the council asap and ensure you record that you OBJECTotherwise it will not count and the whole development will go ahead again.

It will be helpful to contact your local ward councillors to find out what their views are and whether they will support your objection.

Please encourage other residents, High Street businesses etc to register their objections.

It may be helpful to look at Consultation comments numbers 7 and 8 to see what local residents concerns are.

Many thanks
