Safer Neighbourhoods Team: focus on Myddleton Road

A STREET A WEEK 25/03/2013 - 28/03/2013

Myddleton Road has been chosen for a week of action, starting on Monday 25th March.

Officers from Bounds Green Safer Neighbourhood Team have called on residents in Myddleton Road to introduce themselves and understand the concerns of the local community.

They will deliver a week of action to target the issues identified - the intention is to provide an improved service, improved confidence in local policing and tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.

After consultation with residents last week, the following issues have been raised:

Fly Tipping/Littering - Haringey Council have been contacted and a visual audit will take place to identify all jobs that can be undertaken before work is commenced.
Drugs/ Drug Dealing - We will be concentrating our attention in this area with a view to crack down on offenders.
Road Markings/ Street Lighting - The Highways department from Haringey Council have been contacted, and a request for road markings at the east end of Myddleton Road and adequate lighting has been submitted.
Street drinking/ Noise and litter from street drinkers - Street drinkers will be advised and dealt with accordingly.

Depressing lot of litter on Myddleton Road this morning, as well as people shouting at each other pretty unpleasantly. Anyone seen these officers yet?
