Selected Bagatelle from Baroque, Romantic, Opera and World Folk Songs - Violin Duets by Constance Hsieh and Jacqueline Chen



Ming-Ai (London) Institute has been serving the community for more than 30 years since it was established in 1993. As one of family members situated in the area of Bowes Park and Bounds Green Neighbourhoods, we aim to organise more cultural events for our community. In celebration of the Year of the Dragon and the Lantern Festival, Ming-Ai (London) Institute will host “Selected Bagatelle from Baroque, Romantic, Opera and World Folk Songs - Violin Duets by Constance Hsieh and Jacqueline Chen” on 29/2/2024 at Ming-Ai (London) Institute. Join us in celebrating the festival, and may it bring warm festive vibes to you all.

Musicians’ information

Constance Hsieh

Constance Hsieh, a founding member as advance string professor of the Emirati Musicians Association and a collaborative string instrumental musician with Dubai Steinway & Sons. She was recruited be Dubai art Academic researcher in 2021 and has been engaging at the field of arts construction and education. She has being nominated as judge of numerous international competitions and publishing in international journals. Constance invented her violin paradigm pedagogy in teaching method at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing from 2012 to 2021. Constance is also an interdisciplinary artist combines book art form with other visual and performing arts with social activism, to addresses social problems for staying alone without companionship. 

Jacqueline Chen

Jacqueline Chen is a 13-year-old student from Taiwan, currently studying at Kangqiao International School. Despite having learned the violin for a short time, she is passionate about both the violin and music. She performed at the opening ceremony of an art exhibition in 2022, which was her first stage performance experience. Since her violin teacher travels around the world to give lectures and performances, Jacqueline, as a student, has been exposed to the cultures and arts of different countries, such as the United Kingdom and France. This exposure has deepened her fascination for music and inspired her ongoing pursuit of musical knowledge. She would like to gain confidence in sharing her music with others and to continue enhancing her skills through more violin performance experiences.
