A message this week from Caroline Simpson suggested an idea:

We've all got those rarely used items knocking about in the shed or the attic - and sometimes need a tool for a one-off specific job often resulting in an expensive trip to the DIY store.

How about making a request - or offer - on the site; sharing our resources and helping out our neighbours.

Bolt cutters?
I recently purchased a pair of great bolt cutters to remove some dead wire fencing at the bottom of my garden. That job is done.
I may need them again ...one day... but, If you have a short term, (legal) need for a pair of heavy duty bolt cutters, then you could borrow mine.
