Popped in for one (yes one, honest Nell!) on my way home last night and I liked it. Won't be to everybody's taste as it still has the football screens but I like football and I like pubs so that's alright for me. Good friendly staff behind the bar too.

I thought it looked good for the refurb while still keeping the character that made it a really great pub in the past. Food is clearly something they want to make a big play on with a very swanky kitchen being installed but it felt more like a drinking crowd last night so not sure how that is going to play out.

But good luck to them, I had a very happy drink there and shall certainly be returning.

I ran past there the other week and It was soooo bright! I personally couldn't have a relaxing drink after work when its that bright but I do want to try it out if they can sort it out.
