Stair Lift / new carpet - help!!!
Does anyone know of either:
(a) Stair carpet suppliers/Fitters who are willing and able to cope with fitting new carpet on stairs with stair lift stanchions mounted on the treads, or
(b) a Stair lift engineer who would come and unfix, then return and re-fix, the stair lift after carpeting has been laid?
Can you help? Thank you. DD

Hi Derek,
I don't know about whether they'd be able to fit around the stairlift, but we recently had some carpets fitted by the exceptionally helpful Central Carpets in Finchley Central. It's a family firm -and they were very reasonably priced, and even came over with carpet samples so we didn't need to travel to the shop. They did an excellent job on my parents-in-law's stairs.
