STOLEN PLANT
We live on Whittington Road and we had a very large plant stolen from just outside our front door last night. We're particularly upset because we inherited it from my mother-in-law's garden when she died.
I just wanted to let people know because it may be that the thieves are fairly organised and we should be on the alert especially with many people being away on holiday . I may be wrong but it was so heavy I think it must have been loaded into a van, on the other hand if it someone did just try to walk off with it they might have given up and abandoned it somewhere so if anyone does see a large palm in a brown pot I'd be very grateful if you could let me know.

That's horrible, Deirdre.
I remember some people tried to steal the bay trees from outside The Step a while back - luckily Mat was there to chase them off.

Honestly, what is our community coming to? Our neighbours have loads of plants outside their house so I will make sure we let them know. In the meantime I will keep a look out.
