TALKIES AT BOWES AND BOUNDS
We had a very productive meeting on Wednesday June 3rd to begin the task of setting up Talkies at Bowes and Bounds.
If you missed it you can still get involved to make this happen – with your help it will be great!
email talkiescommunitycinema@gmail.com – and just say ‘count me in’ and we will follow up your offer.
At the June 3rd meeting we concluded:
- the groups main focus is deciding films and putting them on. Talkies will take care of all the ‘back office’ things
- to hold an event on the second Friday of each month from September at Bounds Green Bowls and Tennis Club
- that the first event would be on September Friday 11th
- that the first event would be - ‘Cuban Fury’ - in collaboration with Sureka - who runs a salsa class in Myddleton Road
- that one of the later events will be Ian Emes, Bowes Park film director and animator - running a ‘Psychedelic Evening’ (see trailer from previous time)
- two other events are to be decided by end July

Really excited about this project David and thanks for inviting Salsa With Sureka to be involved with your launch event in Bowes and Bounds!
We are busy getting ready to teach and perform at the Bowes Park Community Picnic and then at Myddleton Road Street Festival so if we don't see you there, let's catch up soon afterwards!

This will be a great launch event and many thanks for your enthusiasm Eureka!
I will prepare the publicity for it soon and you can start spreading the word....
It's going to be hard to follow that up - but there are already plans for some other cracking nights - including a psychedelic night with local film makers Ian Emes....
