From September there will be a Talkies event each month at Bounds Green Bowls and Tennis club.

Despite a rainy day at the recent stall at Myddleton Road Festival, there was lots of interest  and nearly 100 people signed up to the mailing list.

The first films lined up are:

FRIDAY11 SEPT - CUBAN FURY including live salsa demos from Sureka Fernando. Beneath Bruce Garrett's under-confident, overweight exterior, the passionate heart of a salsa king lies dormant. Now, one woman is about to ignite his Latin fire.

FRIDAY9 OCT - PSYCHEDELIC NIGHT WITH IAN EMES - local artist, director and original Pink Floyd animator Ian will enthral you with a selection of his music video from Pink Floyd to his most recent work.

FRIDAY13 NOV - Bob Hoskins and Helen Mirren are magnificent as the lord and lady of their underworld manor, attempting to develop London Docklands in a pre-Canary Wharf world, caught between American investors and IRA bombs. Sheer brilliance.

FRIDAY 12 DEC - what are your ideas for a Christmas film event?
