Talks held to improve North Mid bus links

Discussions will take place in the New Year to improve bus services to North Middlesex Hospital.

The hospital, in Sterling Way, Edmonton, has been targeted for better bus links following meetings between Enfield Borough Council, Enfield Transport user group and Transport for London.

TfL's Head of Network Development for buses John Barry, said: "London's bus network is constantly under review to ensure we continue to provide the services our passengers need. Good transport links are essential to make health services accessible to the community. We are working with the council to review this and look forward to further work in the New Year."

Cabinet member for environment and community safety, Councillor Chris Bond, said: "Generally residents are satisfied with the quality of the bus service in Enfield, but we acknowledge there is always room for improvements to be made which is why we appreciate TfL taking this issue seriously and looking at ways of addressing residents needs.

"It is vital we make health services as accessible as possible so that people can attend appointments quickly, easily and in a stress free manner. I look forward to further work with TfL in this area."
