Several people have been in touch to report the appalling state of the big recycling and collection bins on Bounds Green Road opposite the Ranelagh Pub.

The bins attract fly tipping and cause the area to look a real mess. We have requested that these bins be removed and officers are now in the process of establishing whether residents have alternative recycling facilities that they can use if the bins are removed.

If there are no objections then the offending bins to be removed. We will keep you posted but let us know if you have questions.

Maybe some temporary CCTV cameras might help catch and stop the offenders.

I have seen people climbing into the bins to remove clothes, a discarding what the don't want on the ground.
