We've had a few recent reports of supernatural activity happening locally:  On the first of this month a mysterious document was discovered at the Old Southgate Town Hall ( since named the "Palmers Scream"). This has led to investigation of ancient witchcraft activity in Broomfield Park - The Palmers Green Community website contains photographs of the document and some very erudite discussions of the strange text.

There have also been reports of a ghostly presence at The Step after hours.

Whilst many neighbours treat these reports very sceptically - a story has emerged that  some of this paranormal activity was linked to the roadworks on Green Lanes. Digging-up the foundations of Deadmans Bridge coincided with the start of the unexplained activity ... We have written abut the puzzle of the bridge previously  and the the myth (history?) of Deadmans Bridge was reported on the Palmers Green Jewel in the North website - could it be the ghost of Gibby Haynes has been disturbed?    

Is it a coincidence that all this supernatural activity has happened just as a major new TV series - The Enfield Haunting - premieres on Sky TV? The series tells the story of alleged poltergeist activity in a Brimsdown house from the late seventies - The TV programme is  discussed on our Facebook page and you can see a trailer below.
