Last week Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry was filming in Bowes Park making traditional Greek Cypriot Easter treats Tsoureki with Green Lanes - Lefteris baker Sofia.

The film crew were recording for a new series “Easter Feast” with Mary Berry exploring several traditional Easter recipes.

Filmmakers chose Lefteris bakery because of it's long service to the local Greek community and the professional management of the business.

Alongside the Flaounes and Tsoureki bread made at Lefteris, Mary Berry will visit several different communities across Britain to explore Easter traditions and taste traditional Easter recipes The series will be broadcast on BBC in early April.

It's not the first time Lefteris has been featured on film - a couple of years ago it was one of the local businesses showcased in a fascinating interactive documentary project From Green Line To Green Lanes  presenting 14 video portraits of first and second generation Cypriots (both Greek and Turkish) that live and work in North London.
