The state of the area around Bowes Park station leading down towards Myddleton Road

I'm sure it's been reported many times but have sent an e-mail to  Haringey council copied to Bowes Labour about the state of the area around Bowes Park station.  Apparently the walkway from the station is the responsibility of the council.  With such high footfall and a number of takeaways, this area needs more attention from Veolia.

It'd be nice to have something done before the market this weekend.

Agreed! There are two similar discussion threads currently running - have a look at this message from Haringey Councillors about the passage and this one from Lucia about the station verges.

Hi,

Just to report that a resident of Bowes Park has swept the verge.  It looks much better ..... for now.

Best,

Fiona

I agree about the importance of people being community spirited. I often put rubbish that has been left on the pavement near the three large wheelie .bins at the bottom of Brownlow Road into the bins. I have also been known to go down with a broom and sweep up the mess. The situation has gradually improved. My family have lived in Brownlow Road for many years and like other residents believe that it is important that main roads in the borough are welcoming as well as the side roads. There are now more window boxes in the road!

The trees in the road also seem to be being cared for in a much more sympathetic way by Enfield council - several residents have told me how much pleasure they take from this. I have found enfield council supportive and generally willing to engage positively with the issues that I raise.
