My son attends Alexandra Park School and is part of band. They are mostly 14 years of age. They have performed several gigs at the school but would like to gain experience performing at other events and venues.

Have contacted AP and beyond which do a mini festival in Durnsford Park. Have also contacted Palmers Green community festival about the sunday bandstand gigs.

Does anyone have any other suggestions of where they could perform? Any local underage band nights or other community festivals?

I have asked this question on Facebook here. One reply so far!

... and one suggestion so far via Twitter here.

Great thank you will have a look at those.

Hi what do they sound like? Do you have any clips?

I do! Not very good clips but you get the idea. Where should I send them.
They have done covers of Blur and Arctic Monkeys in the past.

Hi Brighid,

I am the organiser of Harringay Market, a weekly Sunday market in N4 and we would love to offer the band a chance to perform.
We often have live music. And I'm planning a party in March/April too.
If you are interested then please email me at jessica@harringaymarket.co.uk.

Is there a social club locally - I thought I heard of one off the High Road somewhere.  A sort of CSU working men's club.  Maybe they'd be welcome there?  Just a thought.

If they would be interested in busking, here's the opportunity. Two shopping centres, The Mall in Walthamstow and Wood Green have opened their doors to buskers - they can perform in the warmth, keep the earnings (15% to charity) and enter a comp for two prizes of a day recording in The Cowshed with all the trimmings. If interested, go here: amandao@rocket-creative.com, or leave a comment and we'll get you more info...

Thank you everyone!
