Live next to a halfway house on Truro road, its a nightmare and no one even told us! we found out the hard way, through multiple police attendance to the property(fights, robbery and a stabbing) and the fact that all those that pass through there seem to think my back garden has a sign that says "hey, please feel free to throw your old crisp packets, condoms and probation cards in our garden, we welcome you to the area with free rubbish collection" literally Tossers!

Oh dear, it's such a shame isn't it.  Not sure there is anything we can do as a community.

Really sorry to hear of your experiences but there is a distinct increase in anti-social behaviour recently - perhaps the recent good weather is simply bringing their behaviour outdoors?

But I think it is really important that as a community we do respond to this because it is unacceptable an detrimental to the quality of all our lives. We've encountered problems ourselves and have reported them to the Bounds Green Safer Neighbourhoods Team, their details are below.

I think it is vital to report and log as many of the incidences of anti-scoial behaviour so they are aware of the scale of the problems we face and also puts pressure on them to deal with the issues. We need to put it on their agenda and keep it there until the problems are stamped out.

I agree with Mat that the correct community response is to ensure the safer neighbourhoods teams in either  Bounds Green or Bowes are informed. They are the the specialists charged with ensuring anti-social behaviour in our area is checked. 

In a recent post on the Bowes Councillors Blog Cllr Sitkin comments on the work that the SNT have been doing to respond to issues on Green Lanes, perhaps this is the incident you mention in Melbourne Ave?

that's the problem though, the team have been round and dealt with the immediate problem but that wont stop it from being a halfway house

just got new people in there, they had a party on monday night, loud and shouting till all hours! seems prison works, get out on probation and immediately annoy everyone around you!

only moved in in October but we are now so fed up with it, we are looking to move out of the area, cant really raise a family in that environment!

they can issue as many ASBO's as they like, it hasn't really made a dent in all honesty
