Stop the MP pay rise: petition delivered to Downing Street

The following information has been published by Tanya Byke on behalf of the the organisers:

6 July 2015 — A big thank you to everyone who signed and shared the petition to stop the MP pay rise. The petition hand-in went smoothly and I've received a letter to confirm the signatures have officially been delivered.

The petition was just over 365,000 when it was taken to Downing Street and {on 7th July} it has already grown to {444,947} signatures! We’re getting so close to half a million, so keep sharing and spreading the word.......

IPSA said unless they get ‘overwhelming evidence’ that MPs should not get a pay rise, the plans will go ahead. So {did we give } them the overwhelming evidence they need!
