Have you ever had to wait for the post to arrive - anticipating a particular letter?

Of course it was all much better "in the old days" ... wasn't it? ...errr ... perhaps not!

This press cutting from July 1936 reveals things were not necesarily better then. When the old post box was removed from the Myddleton Road Post Office a batch of undelivered letters were discovered... a quarter of a century after they were posted

Of course now we have e-mail there is never any danger of a message going astray .... is there?
