A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
I walked from Turnpike Lane to Morrisons this afternoon, past the half a dozen beggars, through the shambles of the pavement and road works. What a sh**hloe this area has become.

Was it ever any different?
When I moved to Wood Green in 2004 it was the same. The only difference now is the area between Wood Green and the North Circular is now mostly Eastern European, whereas it used to be mostly Greek.
Wood Green itself will always bit like it is because of
a) the socia-economic group of the nearby residents
b) it's proximity to Tottenham (see a)
c) the 1970s shopping centre and thus, the quality of the shops that are there
d) it's a main traffic artery
and no amount of fancy paving/tree work by the council is going to change those four things.
Connecting the communities of Bowes Park and Bounds Green in north London.
