I was wondering if anyone is doing anything for this year's Earth Hour on Saturday, 31 March.

The idea is to switch off lights and electrical appliances for just one hour, but it's about much more than just saving electricity! WWF’s Earth Hour is about people coming together to put the focus on this brilliant world we all share – and how we need to protect it. Not just for an hour a year, but every day.

For example, the Hawthorns residents, south of Ally Pally, have asked "the whole road to switch off, come out with snacks they've made and join together for an hour, with wine and hot chocolate, lots of conversation and fun and then we'll send off some Chinese lanterns."

I know our local community are pretty eco-conscious, so thought I'd bring it to your attention.
