Palm House, Wolves Lane N22

Just a stone's throw (mind the greenhouse!) from Bowes and Bounds Green, the Palm House is one of Haringey's hidden gems. My children used to love coming here, and still do! Radical plans are afoot to put the Palm House more on the map; meanwhile, why not pay a visit? There's a cafe and garden centre as well as all the fun of the palm house itself!

Have to say I visited the palm house for the first time the other day and I was utterly underwhelmed. It could be fantastic! I would very much visit more if there was a bit more investment to the place.

Investment is the problem.  I believe the council are manoeuvring to shut it down altogether, but there is an action group fighting their corner, if you're interested?

Indeed, the Friends of Wolves Lane are an energetic and resourceful (if not well resourced!) community campaign attempting to bring the centre back to it's pre-austerity glory.

Contact via their website and the usual social media channels ... and support the campaign.
