The new version of the pub is an improvement but it's nice to have a reminder of what was (it's dated after all). B&B is becoming a record of the changes in our community so this photo is part of that and it should stay. Why not put up a new one?

Hi Aoife

We also have this historic image of the "even older Springfield" from the mid 1960s
(click on image for full size view).

And there is quite a bit of historic detail of the folk music club that used to meet in the upstairs room of the Springfield Pub from the 60s and 70s in our series on local musical heritage.

As Robin says above part of the role of this site is to record our local history and report on  the changes that happen in the neighbourhood.

Many of our local history images depict well known buildings in earlier times.
