There are two local newspapers in Enfield, the Independant and the Advertiser, which I expect also publish a Haringey edition. As you are so close to the Enfield border, I'd recommend contacting whichever one is handiest for you and asking them, if they are interested in the story, to see if they would run it in the editions for both areas. I know The Enfield Independant used to have an office in Enfield Town, not sure if it's still there, but I'm sure Google would find them!
I think that it's generating so much local opposition that they really should be interested. I'm heartened by the number of responses on Streetlife - I'll check the Council website and see if these people have also lodged their concerns there.
Have a look around at what’s already on the site and please do join in with the conversations - or start your own. You can upload photographs or add details of relevant local events and invite people to attend. In addition there are several pages of local information in our resources section.
We send out a regular e-mail update of what's new - you can read the latest edition online.
Remember, everything you write is public, including comments on other people’s pages.
It’s always nice to put a face to a name so, please upload a profile picture, the Help Page explains how. If you use other social networks you can visit our Facebook Page and follow us on Twitter.
I've sent an objection to Haringey - I've also put a post on Streetlife, just to try to make sure as many local people as possible hear about this. It's an absolute crime to even think about destroying our beautiful neighborhood in this way. Have you been on to any of the local newspapers yet?

So sorry - was at work today. That was very short notice they gave you, but I hope it went well!
That was nearly two hours ago! Did you get the time right?
Our local Neighbourhood Watch lead has just sent the petition round on our email group, also the link to the Haringey site
